Van Riebeeckshof was originally a wine farm and is one of the most recently developed areas in this part of the Northern Suburbs. It comprises of residential and townhouse complexes, as well as a Shopping Village and the Majik Forest. Built on the slopes, the views are great towards the Boland Mountains. The Majik Forest offers secure walking trials and the mountain bike trials though vineyards and along the dam. The popular and secure Oude Westhof Retirement Village was developed next to the Van Riebeeckshof Shopping Village and include Medical Suites on the estate. The Homeowners Association landscaped the open public spaces to uplift the areas. To fund such projects, they raise a monthly levy.
